Not all of our items are just from a wedding; some have been from bridal showers and rehearsal dinners too! Preparing and decorating for any party can be costly, so why not save some money and buy and resell those items too. We’ve even seen planning books/magazines, bridal party T-shirts, bachelorette party sashes and buttons at our events as well. These are all items that brides spend money on and won’t ever use again, so why not save money or make money back from them!
We see items like Jewelry, veils, hair accessories, even shoes fly out of the booths! These are great items to resell because anyone can use them, but especially future brides and bridesmaids. Purses and clutches are also hot items that sell well. We don’t have changing rooms at our events, but one clothing item that always seem to sell well are kids clothing! It’s much easier to buy a dress for a little girl without worrying about how well it will fit. Also, don’t forget about the men! We’ve seen ties, bow-ties, suspenders, and vests sell at our events too!
Our Fancy Flips have seen some really cool and unique large items! We’ve had several pairs of doors, a large rustic wood and wire display case, a whole set of church pews, and (one of our personal favorites) a homemade beer bar complete with taps! These items are so unique and are in demand. A lot of brides-to-be love the idea of having a big statement piece, but don’t have the time or the crafting skills to be able to do it themselves. If you are considering selling your large items at one of our wedding resales, be sure to send us pictures so we can post them in the previews to prepare buyers ahead of time. They will need to make plans on how to get it home with them!
Everyone loves to spend time daydreaming as they flip through Pinterest designing that perfect wedding. However, the time, money, and skill to bring it all together is staggering! Who wouldn’t want to save both time and money by purchasing already made “DIY” items? We also have had some very creative newlyweds in the past that made some money on their talents.
